Join us for a fun, family oriented, and educational tour of the beautiful St. Lawrence River. Guided by our staff Naturalist, this tour focuses on the River's natural features, including the geology, wildlife, and habitats that are unique to the Thousand Islands region. You will see Common Terns, Great Blue Herons, Loons, Ospreys, Double-Crested Cormorants, and other bird species. Halfway through the tour we will dock at Picnic Point and enjoy a pleasant 30 minute walk on the Grindstone Island Nature Trail. We will discuss the environmental issues that concern the St. Lawrence River, past and present, and what is being done to preserve this fragile and beautiful ecosystem. Bring your binoculars, walking shoes, and a spirit of adventure! 3 Hours
